IF Interactive Successfully Hosts the Seminar on "Immersive Interactive Teaching and School-Based Curriculum: Innovative Technology Empowering Holistic Student Development
IF Interactive successfully held the "Immersive Interactive Teaching and School-Based Curriculum: Innovative Technology Empowering Holistic Student Development" seminar on October 24, bringing together over 30 elite educators from Hong Kong’s primary and secondary schools. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Principal Leung Hon-Kei of CNEC Lui Ming Choi Primary School for being our keynote speaker and sharing insights on how to leverage immersive technology to enhance educational quality and promote students' holistic development.
IF Interactive CEO Mr. Hay Yeung shared insights into the challenges that digitalization brings to education and introduced concepts surrounding the "Future Classroom" and immersive interactive technology. He emphasized that with the rapid digital transformation, education needs to integrate technologies like Interactive Technology, AI, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to create immersive learning experiences that boost students' motivation and effectiveness.
Principal Leung Hon-Kei of CNEC Lui Ming Choi Primary School shared practical examples of how his school has integrated VR CAVE technology into teaching religious stories and Chinese culture. He explained how VR allows students to experience the depth of cultural stories, thereby enhancing their understanding while also inspiring creativity and spiritual growth.
The seminar also explored the broader application of immersive interactive teaching across different subjects, illustrating how this innovative approach can be applied to subjects like Religious Studies, arts, Chinese culture, and technology to promote interdisciplinary learning and strengthen students' collaboration skills. Additionally, Principal Leung explained how schools could leverage government funding, such as the “One-Off Grant for Promoting Chinese Culture Experience” and “One-Off Grant for MVPA60,” to support building educational technology infrastructure and encourage educational innovation.
The event also featured interactive sessions where attendees experienced the VR CAVE and LED Wall firsthand. Educators from various fields enthusiastically participated in these immersive activities, gaining a deeper understanding of the practical application of innovative teaching methods across disciplines and experiencing the transformative potential of these new technologies in education. IF Interactive remains committed to advancing educational technology, partnering with Hong Kong schools to embrace the challenges of the digital era and helping students thrive in a diverse learning environment.
